Balloons are one of the most common items you will find at a birthday party. Balloons come in different sizes, shapes and colors and they work really well for birthday party games. They are also ideal for kids of all ages.
Balloon Race
A balloon race is a really fun game for a party, but it requires a lot of space. Line the children up at the start line. Give each one a balloon that is blown up. Tell them that they must run to the finish line by keeping the balloon in the air. The trick is that they cannot use their hands for this. They can use their legs or feet or heads, but not their arms or hands. If their balloon drops to the ground, they must grab it and start over. Whoever gets to the finish line first wins the game.
Balloon in the Air
Gather the kids together and place a balloon in the air. Tell them they must keep it up without touching the ground. Change the rules throughout the game by adding more balloons or making rules about which body parts they cannot use to keep the balloon afloat.
Balloon Stomp
The balloon stomp game requires each person to tie a balloon around each of his ankles with strings. When the game begins, each player runs around trying to stomp and pop other people’s balloons. If a player gets both balloons popped, he is out of the game. The game continues until there is only one player left.
