Phase 10 is played by handing out 10 cards to each player. The remaining cards are placed face down in a stack and the top card is flipped over and used as a discard pile. On a turn, the first player picks up a card and discards a card. The object is to get the correct phase, in order from one through ten. If a player gets a phase, he lays it down.
