Tween girls are at an age where choosing party games can be a difficult battle. Tweens are usually considered to be girls from the ages of 9 to 12. The games you choose for a party should be age appropriate and fun, or the girls will become extremely bored.
One of the best games I have used at my daughter’s parties is the Nail Polish Game. This game is easy to set up, easy to play and most girls really enjoy it. To play this game, all you need is nail polish. It depends on the number of girls playing to determine how many bottles. Generally, if you have around five girls, 10 to 20 bottles is sufficient. Be sure to choose numerous different colors of polish to increase the fun of the game.
To play, arrange the girls in a circle on the floor. Place something down under the girls, before playing this, to avoid nail polish spills. Place all of the nail polish bottles in a box or basket. Choose one girl to go first and hand her the basket of nail polish. Ask her to choose one color. After choosing, the first girl spins the bottle on the floor. When the bottle stops, the girl that the bottle is pointing at must paint one fingernail, or toenail, that color. The game continues by passing the basket of nail polish around as many times as desired.
When the game is complete, the girls will have fingernails that are painted all different colors. If desired, have them paint their toenails too. When girls have completed all of their nails, they are out of the game. The game ends when every girl has all ten fingernails painted!
