Teen vs. Adult Games

An important distinction to make

I must be one depraved individual because I'm so used to playing NSFW games with my friends and family. So when my daughter told me that she'd been playing a game of Exploding Kittens with friends recently, I nearly hit the roof. "That game is so inappropriate!" I exclaimed, and prepared to have a dozen conversations about topics that she probably now had questions about. I remember when a friend of hers introduced the topic of suicide to her at age six and how resentful I'd been for that early talk.

It turns out that I was totally overreacting, and that there are multiple versions of the game, which I should have known. The version she played, while totally full of irreverant content, was much tamer than the version I played with my friends. It just goes to show that you need to do your research, which is a good thing to keep in mind regarding pretty much everything!

Do you know of any games that have racier content for adults but tamer versions for kids or teens? Which games are they?
